Welcome to Trackside Farm
Thoroughbred Exellence Since 1986
Our History
From Cattle to Champions
Trackside Farm began operations in 1986 on 210 acres. The property was converted from a cattle and tobacco farm to a horse facility. Fencing was added and tobacco barns were converted to horse barns. The farm added acreage in 2000 and again in 2004 and now encompasses 600 acres.
In the 1986 breeding season Trackside Farm foaled 2 mares and bred 12 mares for several clients. Today Trackside farm foals 35-45 mares per year and breeds about 50-60 mares. Trackside Farm is also active as a consignor at the Kentucky horse sales and has sold five horses for $1,000,000 or more.
Trackside Farm is owned and operated by Tom Evans and Pam Clark. Tom graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1977 with a degree in biology. Following graduation he worked for Hall Of Fame trainer Woody Stephens for two years in New York and Florida. Tom then moved to Kentucky and worked for Lee Eaton (Eaton Sales) at his Indian Hill Farm for 6 ½ years. Pam graduated from Michigan State University with a business degree. After graduation she moved to Kentucky and worked with the office staff at Eaton Farms. Other jobs she held were research assistant at the Thoroughbred Times, horse groom at Spendthrift Farm and administrative assistant to W. S. Farish at Lane’s End Farm.
Horses foaled and raised at Trackside Farm include over 50 stakes winners.
